Justyn Lutfy MD CM, FRCS(C)
Dr. Lutfy is a Canadian board certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, a candidate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and holds subspecialties in both plastics and orthopedic hand and wrist surgery.
​After graduating with a bachelor of science at McGill University, he pursued medical training in both Canada and abroad to achieve mastery in his specialty. Dr. Lutfy obtained his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery at McGill University and then moved to Ottawa for a five-year residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery which he completed in 2015.
He then pursued two Fellowships to specialize in hand, wrist, and nerve surgery. The first Fellowship was in Illinois (USA) in plastics Hand and Microsurgery at Southern Illinois University (SIU). During this year, Dr. Lutfy was a member, researcher and surgeon on SIU’s Hand Transplant Program. He then moved to Sydney (Australia) to train in orthopedic Hand and Peripheral Nerve Surgery.

Dr. Lutfy’s commitment to the scientific community is noted with multiple international presentations, publications and textbooks. Having a passion for teaching, Dr. Lutfy has been a surgical skills instructor at three universities and continues to be involved in medical education as a clinical instructor for the University of British Columbia.
